Why isn’t my email arriving?

Choose what is happening, enter your domain, and the troubleshooter runs the checks that matter for that symptom — then shows what to fix first.

Step 2 of 2Your domain

The domain in your From address, for example example.com.

The s= value from the DKIM-Signature header of a message you sent.

The IP address your mail is sent from, to check reverse DNS and blocklists.

How the troubleshooter works

It runs the same checks as the individual tools — SPF, DKIM, DMARC, MX, reverse DNS, MTA-STS and the SMTP test — selected by the symptom you choose.

Problems are ordered by how likely they are to cause that symptom: authentication first for spam and rejections, mail server problems first when mail sent to you does not arrive.

Limitations

  • Content, sender reputation and recipient engagement also affect delivery, and DNS checks cannot measure them. The headers of an affected message often show the receiver’s own verdict.
  • Checked domains are not stored or logged.

Frequently asked questions

Which checks run when my mail goes to spam?

SPF, DKIM (with your selector), DMARC and, if you enter your sending server’s IP address, reverse DNS. Then analyze the headers of a message that landed in spam to see the receiver’s verdict.

Which checks run when I don’t receive mail?

MX, the SMTP and TLS test, and MTA-STS — the parts that decide whether other servers can deliver to you.

Is anything stored?

No. The troubleshooter calls the same stateless checks as the individual tools.
